Department of Pharmaceutics:
Pharmaceutics is the pharmacy discipline that deals with the process of changing a new chemical entity into a medication to be used safely and effectively by patients. This helps to formulation of drugs to their delivery and disposition in the body. The D. Pharm. students get exposure of Pharmaceutical technology, Pharmaceutical dosage forms etc.
Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry deals with synthesis, characterization and analysis of drugs in the responsibility of quality control and quality assurance department. The department focuses on both basic science and clinical interest in medicinal chemistry, natural products, drug discovery, analytical chemistry etc.
Department of Pharmacology:
Pharmacology deals with application of drug treatment to patients. It ensures the most appropriate & safe use of medicines. Knowledge & skill relative to pharmacology & pharmacotherapy use by pharmacist to communicate with other health care professionals and patients in order to promote the effective use of medicines in hospitals & primary care.
Department of Pharmacognosy:
Herbal medicine is now making dramatic comeback, pharmacognosy is specific discipline which deals with versatile studies of manufacturing of drug and auxiliary substances of biological origin (plants, animals & minerals), natural origin, extraction, isolation, purification of medicinal substances and quality control.
Herbal Garden:
The college has established herbal garden to teach students about extraction and evaluation of drugs obtained from plant source. Garden includes variety of medicinal plants.
Museum:
The college possesses a museum exhibiting more than 100 crude drugs, herbarium sheets, botanical specimens, charts of drugs, plants, coloured slides of medicinal plants, patent medicines, containers of common usage in medicines.
Laboratories:
The colleges have 4 well designed spacious departmental laboratories with ultramodern facilities imparting quality education and training in various subjects of Pharmacy. The laboratories are well planned as per norms and standards of statutory bodies of country.
